Photo Radar Starts on
Loop 101
Despite a recent court decision ruling
Scottsdale's enforcement practices invalid, the city has moved forward
with its pilot project on the Loop 101. Cameras began snapping
photos on January 22nd. Registered owners will receive tickets
starting February 20th, regardless of who was driving at the time of
the alleged violation. The city's procedure falls short of state
law according to the judge who ruled against Scottsdale and recipients
are free to ignore the mailed citations.
